Winter Birds | 2020 First Annual Ornament

I loved the watercolor of my practice painting so much, I wanted to offer a sweet little framed painting of these birds. The artwork sits in a gorgeous Pottery Barn, Gold Leaf Frame, a mat gives this piece a polished look. The birds are from the same image in my head as the glass bulb ornament I created earlier this season.

Three little birds, huddled together in this winter scene is acrylic paint on paper. Each piece is an original painting and details vary within the scene. Childhood memories flood back of a nostalgic setting. Winters in Montana where magical. Trees looked as though they were covered in white frosting. I've included a pine tree limb to represent the gorgeous snow covered trees of my youth.
