SOLD - Grasshopper

Layering of mark making on the base layer builds to a light wash of strokes, topped with bold black paint marks. As marks build they create depth to this piece, as if floating through the air. There is a joyfulness to it and the one sharp angle within the piece reminds me of a grasshopper leg. I imagine what it’s like to be a bouncing grasshopper as I emerge myself into the illusion of this space.
