Layers upon layers is how this beauty came to be so happy! I kept the colors muted with warm pinks and creams. I topped with a black wash using bold, bouncing marks to express my joy for summer. You don't expect black to be a summer vibe, however, the splatter is representative of summers in my youth watching black and brown and tan mud splatter, spew and spit violently from beneath the earth's surface. The muted tones in the background are reminiscent of the muted colors surrounding the geysers in Yellowstone. From cool merky, crusted edges of geysers to hot, scalding blue water within a geyser, these are just a few of the earth's colors Yellowstone offers. It's not your typical summer scene but for me, summer's meant lots of action with tourists from all over the world visiting the park. I loved summer in Yellowstone.
